SENIOR HURLING

The senior hurlers made it four wins from four in the county league as they defeated Moycarkey-Borris in the div 1 clash last Wednesday night in Littleton. A bright start from Upperchurch saw us get on top early but Moycarkey grew into things and reeled off 6 points in a row to help them to a 4 point half time lead. This was increased to 6 within minutes of the restart however 4 points in a row from Aaron Ryan brought it down to 2 and then Paul Shanahan found the net to put Upperchurch into the lead. Aaron landed 3 further frees as Upperchurch finished 3 point victors 1-15 to 0-15. This result sees us top the group and guarantee our progression to the semi finals. The final group game will be against Mullinaahone in 2 weeks time. Our next fixture is a return to Littleton against Moycarkey as we begin the defence of the Cahill Cup at the quarter final stage on Wednesday evening. INTERMEDIATE HURLING

The intermediate hurlers suffered their first defeat of the league as they came up 1 point short against Shannon Rovers last Friday evening. Full time score was 2-18 to 2-17. We next face Ballybacon Grange on May 14th with the twice postponed game v Clonoulty also to be fitted into the schedule.

INTERCOUNTY TEAMS

We had plenty of representation on the intercounty scene with Keith Ryan, Luke Shanahan, Pat Ryan and Toby Corbett all involved in Munster championship panels over the past week. Best of luck to all in the upcoming fixtures.

TIPP GAA CLUB DRAW

The May draw in the Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw takes place this Friday(5th) in Cahir and will be broadcast live on Tipp FM from 8:30pm.
