UNDER 19 FOOTBALL

Commiserations to our under 19 footballers who missed out on a county title in the cruelest of ways in a penalty shoot out last weekend. A goal just before half time from James Treacy added to earlier scores from Luke Shanahan (3) & Pat Ryan gave us a 4 point lead at the interval over our opponents Cappawhite Gaels. 2 further scores for Luke & 1 for Sean Ryan saw the gap out to 6 midway through the second period but the tide turned in favour of Cappawhite then as equalized 5 minutes into injury time to set up extra time. Extra time saw 1 further point from each side with James Griffin pulling off a great penalty save also with the final score after extra time of 1-8 each. The lottery of penalties ultimately went in favour of Cappawhite 4 to 3. Well done to the players & management on their effort throughout the year.

UNDER 21 HURLING

We still await to see who our opponents are in the mid semi final after last weekend's preliminary semi final was postponed

AGM

Our club AGM will be held on Sunday 5th December at 6pm in the clubhouse in Drombane. All are welcome to attend. A number of positions are becoming vacant on the committee this year so if you would like to get involved or know someone who would then let the club secretary, chairman or any of the current committee know in advance.
