SENIOR FOOTBALL

Best of luck to our senior footballers who face Aherlow in the final group game of the county championship tomorrow(Saturday) at 5pm in Golden. A victory or draw will see us progress to the county quarter finals. Tickets for the game can be bought at https://embed.futureticketing.ie/c/tipperary-gaa/ Adults are €10 while juveniles are free when accompanied by an adult. We are looking for a large crowd to buy tickets to cheer on the team and get them into the knockout phase. The game will also be streamed for free on clubber.ie Just go to their website and create an account if you haven't already, specifying Upperchurch Drombane as your club and the link will be available before throw in.

SENIOR HURLING

Congrats to our senior hurlers who battled to the death against Thurles Sarsfields in the county championship last Saturday. Despite Sars being the better team on the day we knew that score difference could be vital to qualify for the quarter finals, depending on the result of the other group game between Eire Og Annacarty and Drom Inch. With Drom getting a 2 pt victory we twice responded to Sarsfields scores in injury time, which would have put us out, and eventually a 3-20 to 1-20 defeat was enough to see us into our first county quarter final in 12 years by just 1 point on score difference. The draw for the quarter final is yet to be made but our opponents will be either Kiladangan, Kilruane or Mullinahone

JUNIOR HURLING

Well done to the junior hurlers who progressed to the mid final with a comfortable win over JK Brackens last weekend (3-17 to 0-7). Some fine performances have been put in throughout this campaign. This sets up a mid final v Holycross/Ballycahill in The Ragg on Sunday Oct 10th at 2pm. JUNIOR FOOTBALL

Best of luck to the junior footballers who face Loughmore-Castleiney in the mid semi final in Castleiney at 12pm on Sunday. No tickets are required for this game so come along and support.

UNDER 19 FOOTBALL

Congratulations to our minor footballers who despite falling behind early, battled back to defeat Moycarkey-Borris in the mid semi final on Wednesday evening. Trailing by 4 at the first water break they edged ahead early in the 2nd half and won by 4 in the end 0-14 to 1-7. Making the mid final in hurling and football this year is a great achievement considering how tight on numbers we are at this age group. Best of luck to the team in the final against Boherlahan Dualla next Wednesday at 7:30pm in Templetouhy. Ticket details will be announced on social media over the coming days.

TIPPERARY GAA CLUBS DRAW

Time is running out to join the new year of the Tipperary GAA Club Draw with the 1st draw to take place next Friday Oct 8th. You can join online at https://tipperary.gaa.ie/tipperary-gaa-clubs-draw (make sure to enter Upperchurch Drombane as your club when ordering) or contact a promoter in the club. There's €500,000 in prizes over the 11 monthly draws including a horse & car in the October draw. Last year we had one of the top monthly prize winners from our club, along with a number of other smaller winners. A percentage from each entry into the draw goes back to the club also
