SENIOR HURLING

We suffered a narrow 1 point defeat to Eire Og Annacarty in the opening round of the county championship last Saturday. A tight forward and back game saw Annacarty score in injury time to take victory 0-18 to 0-17. In the other group game Thurles Sarsfields defeated Drom & Inch. Our 2nd round game is against Drom & Inch on Sat 11th at 3:30pm in Semple Stadium. It is likely this game will be live streamed by Tipperary GAA. Ticket details will be released next week.

SENIOR FOOTBALL

The first round of the senior football championship is on tomorrow(Saturday) against Moyle Rovers in Cashel at 6pm. JUNIOR HURLING

Last Sunday saw the junior hurlers secure a comprehensive victory over Boherlahan Dualla with fine performances all over the field. Final score was 3-25 to 1-5. This result sees us into the knockout stages with the next fixture to be confirmed yet.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL

Our opening game in the mid championship takes place this Sunday when we face Holycross/Ballycahill in Holycross at 12:30pm. There will be no live stream for this game.

UNDER 19 HURLING

Hard luck to our u19's who faced a very strong Holycross/Ballycahill outfit in the mid final last Wednesday night. A very tight opening 15 mins saw the teams level going into the first water break. However a heavy few minutes of scoring at the resumption saw Holycross build up a lead which they held to the final whistle. Final score was 1-21 to 0-16 in favour of our neighbours.

UNDER 19 FOOTBALL

The mid quarter final v Loughmore-Castleiney is fixed for next Wednesday(8th) in Drombane at 6:30pm. Best of luck to the team.

GO GASTA

Upperchurch/Drombane GAA hope all our parish are tuning into TG4 this Sunday night at 8:30pm to see our team of parishioners take on Sixmilebridge of Clare in the Go Gasta series finale. We wish the best of luck to our team of Willie Shanahan, Kelley Harrington, Eamon Fogarty, Mary Burke, Pat Ryan and Caroline Shanahan. It's certainly not one to be missed.
