SENIOR HURLING
Tonight(Friday 20th) the senior hurlers are in action in the quarter finals of the Johnny Ryan Cup against Nenagh Éire Óg. The Johnny Ryan cup is the top of the 4 levels of cups on offer in the county challenge cup. The game throws in at 8pm in Drombane. Our remaining county championship group game against Drom & Inch has been moved back 2 days to Friday 27th May in Templemore at 7:30pm. A win or draw will see us qualify for the county quarter final while a defeat will leave us needing to win the mid championship to qualify for the latter stages of the county championship. The quarter final of the mid championship against Loughmore-Castleiney has been fixed for the Saturday of the June bank holiday weekend in The Ragg.
JUNIOR HURLING
Our junior hurlers were out twice in the past week in the Mid Tipp junior hurling league. Last Saturday evening they had a 3-18 to 2-12 win over Moycarkey-Borris. With the teams level at half time we pushed on well in the second half to earn the victory. Yesterday evening in Kickham Park we played out a draw(1-12 to 3-6) against Thurles Gaels. With our 5 group games completed we sit on top of the table with 7 points and barring a 40+ point win for Thurles Gaels this weekend we have qualified for the final. The remaining fixtures in the group are fixed for this weekend.
