SENIOR HURLING
Our next county league game is on Saturday in Drombane at 7pm against Moycarkey/Borris. We then close out the group stages on Sunday 23rd at 12 midday against Borris-Ileigh in Borrisoleigh. Currently we are on 8 points, just 1 behind joint leaders Drom & Borris.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL
Our junior footballers put up a strong display against JK Brackens last Saturday in Templemore but unfortunately came up short on a score of 2-7 to 0-7. Our final group game is against Thurles Gaels.

JUNIOR HURLING
The first round of the mid junior A hurling championship is on next Tuesday 18th at 7:30pm where we will take on Boherlahan Dualla in Boherlahan

ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC
The Upperchurch Drombane GAA Annual Golf Classic is back again on July 18th & 19th in Dundrum Golf & Country Club. Prices are unchanged with a team of 4 costing €200 which along with your round of golf also includes dinner afterwards & refreshments on the 9th hole. There will be an excellent range of prizes on offer with a top prize of 2 rounds of golf in Killarney & overnight accommodation for the winning team. LIGHT THE BOG FUNDRAISER
Message from Light The Bog fundraising committee: “We have had a fantastic response to our Light The Bog fundraiser. We’re hoping with your support to reach our target of €15,000 over the next couple of weeks.
Pledges can be given to any committee member. Sincere thanks to all of you who have already pledged.
Plans for The 24 hour Walk on the Bog on June 22nd are ongoing. We promise a nostalgic action filled day/night on the bog. After a walk around the bog have a cup of tea and a chat or try your hand at skittles and some other old time games and then dance the night away on the Platform on the Bog”

UPPERCHURCH DROMBANE GOLF SOCIETY OUTING THIS SATURDAY
Message On behalf of Upperchurch Drombane Golf Society: “Our rescheduled 2nd outing take place this Saturday June 15th in Carrick On Suir, at 10.30 a.m. Members are asked to be there for 10.10 to facilitate registration. A meeting to prepare for the outing will take place this Thursday June 13th in Pa’s bar Upperchurch at 9.30 pm. All are welcome.
Our golf card with the list of outings and dates are available from Pa’s bar Upperchurch. This year we will play the following courses. June 15th Carrick on Suir, July 6th Portumna (Captain’s Prize), August 10th Mitchelstown, September 7th Mountrath (President’s Prize)
We look forward to the remaining outings in 2019 and welcome new members young and old (both male and female) to join us for a year of enjoyable golf and social occasions.”

CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Club membership for 2019 is now overdue. Anyone wishing to pay can do so either to club registrar JJ Kinane or online at http://www.upperchurchdrombanegaa.ie/members/ Prices remain unchanged from last year. €20 for all players between the ages of 16 to 18. €30 for all players between the ages of 18 to 21. €60 for all players over 21 years of age. €40 for all non playing members irrespective of age.
