COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP DRAWS
The draws have been made for this year's county championships. In senior hurling we have been placed in Group 1 alongside Holycross-Ballycahill, Kilruane MacDonaghs and Thurles Sarsfields while in senior football we are in Group 3 with Loughmore-Castleiney, Moyle Rovers and Grangemockler-Ballyneale.

COUNTY HURLING LEAGUE
Our senior hurlers claimed their second win in as many games of the county league division 1 when they defeated Mullinahone on March 29th in Drombane. In tough playing conditions Upperchurch began well, scoring 4 of the opening 5 points. Mullinahone settled into the game and over the next twenty minutes chipped away to reduce the gap to a solitary score. Upperchurch then had a dominant period in the remaining few minutes of the half, again outscoring their opponents 4 points to 1, to leave the halftime advantage 0-11 to 0-7. When Upperchurch scored the opening three points after half time the gap was out to 7, but a Mullinahone goal kept them in touch and the gap hovered around the 2-3 point mark over the next 10 minutes. Then, with 9 minutes left, Mullinahone struck a second goal to bring the teams level and seemed likely to push on for the win. Upperchurch though had the better composure and claimed a two point win(0-20 to 2-12) Our next outing is this Friday(Apr 10th) in Roscrea at 6:30pm.

MID HURLING LEAGUE

Both our junior A and junior C teams have been in action twice in their respective mid hurling league groups since over the past two weekends. Our junior A team had an exciting draw against Drom & Inch and then backed that up with victory last Sunday against Loughmore-Castleiney(3-21 to 2-11). Their next game is on the weekend of 18th April against Moycarkey-Borris in Littleton. Our junior C team racked up two wins in division four, against Boherlahan Dualla(4-15 to 3-13), and then last Friday against Loughmore-Castleiney(1-16 to 0-17). Their next game is on Friday Apr 17th against Killea in Drombane.

TIPPERARY U20 FOOTBALL

Best of luck to Sean Griffin, Philip O'Dwyer and the Tipperary U20 footballers who play Limerick in the Munster phase 1 - B final this Thursday evening.

JUVENILE INTERDIVISIONAL FOOTBALL

Congratulations to Jim Ryan(P), Iarlaith Woodlock, Tadhg Corcoran and Luke Harrington who were part of the U14 Mid Tipperary Football Panel who took part in the Dom Browne Interdivisional Football Tournament a few weeks back.

Congratulations to our recent County Scór na bPáistí winners and competitors. Our instrumental music group(Conal Quinn, Caoimhe Brett, Megan O'Brien and Seana Woodlock) and the Tráth na gCeist team(Jamie O'Sullivan, Ned Ryan, Grace Buckley and Avril Ryan) both won their competitions while the Figure Dancing(Megan O'Brien, Anna Rose Gleeson, Hannah Ryan, Shauna Gleeson, Cara Doran, Avril Ryan, Shauna Woodlock and Mia Boland) team finished in second place. Grace Kennedy also represented the parish in Solo Song.

There were 3 match 3 winners who received €50 each. The jackpot for next week now resets to €4,200 for next week's draw. Tickets must be bought by 8pm on Tuesday to be in the draw. You can also buy tickets at Ryan's Shop, Drombane Co-Op, Kinane's Pub or Oliver Ryan's Pub. Congratulations to Hughie Purcell who scooped the jackpot of €19,200 two weeks ago.
