NEW FIELD BENEFACTOR SCHEME LAUNCH
Significant progress has now been made in the past couple of weeks on developing our 2nd playing pitch & also the new juvenile pitch in Drombane. Once completed, focus will turn to car parking facilities & extension of the walking track. To help cover the cost of this work we are inviting supporters to help us and become a benefactor. Patrons will be able to support the scheme by bank transfer, subscribing in person with a committee member or payment online via our club website. You can find full details on our website:
https://upperchurchdrombanegaa.ie/new-field-benefactor-scheme These new facilities will be of major benefit to both our juvenile & adult teams as well as the ladies of Slieve Felim Rapparees for many years to come.
PREMIER INTERMEDIATE HURLING
Last weekend we had a good victory over Moyne-Templetouhy in the mid quarter final. The game was nip & tuck in the first quarter with the teams evenly matched on the scoreboard. However Upperchurch then found their groove and added 10 of the next 12 points to lead by 9 at the half time break. Moyne staged a fightback at the start of the second half but a Colm Ryan goal 10 minutes in restored the 9 point advantage. This lead was gradually increased till full time with us winning on a final score of 1-27 to 0-16. We now face Clonakenny in the semi final at 7:30pm in The Ragg tonight (Sunday) Tickets can be bought online at
https://embed.futureticketing.ie/c/mid-tipp-gaa/ or at the gate via Tap n Go. The match will also be streamed on
www.clubber.ie along with a number of other local matches. Best of luck to the team & mentors.
