JUNIOR B ALL IRELAND FINAL
Last Sunday saw the junior hurlers dream of an All Ireland title ended by Whitechurch of Cork in the All Ireland final in Killeedy. In glorious conditions Whitechurch gained the early dominance and with the help of a goal took a 4 point lead into the break. Upperchurch began the 2nd half strongly with 2 early points to bring the deficit down to 2 and then had a fine goal chance well blocked before Whitechurch struck their own green flag to take control. From then on we were chasing the game and couldn't find the necessary goal to bring us back into it. Final score was 2-16 to 0-12. Despite this defeat it has been a fantastic year that has seen the team claim mid league & championship & county titles along with Munster & All Ireland final appearances.
